FAQ
Questions people ask.
Does the person I'm asking need an account?
No. They get a link, they upload, they're done. No password to reset, nothing to install.
What if they don't have one of the documents?
They mark it “I don't have this” and say why. Asklist stops chasing that item, and the reason is in your next digest. You find out the next morning instead of three weeks later.
How often does it follow up?
You choose when you send the request: gentle (3 reminders over 2 weeks), standard (5 reminders over 3 weeks) or firm (8 reminders over 3 weeks). It stops as soon as they're finished. If the schedule runs out first, we tell you, and you can chase again or pick up the phone.
What happens to the documents?
Files sit in a private store in the EU, encrypted at rest, and only you can download them, signed in to your account. We delete them 60 days after a request is finished or closed, and in any case no more than 90 days after it was sent. You can delete any request and its files yourself, immediately.
What file types can they upload?
PDF, JPG, PNG, HEIC, Word, Excel or CSV. Up to 20 MB per file, one file per item — if you need three statements, add three items.
Do they see Asklist?
Barely. The email comes with your name in the subject line, and replies go to you, not to us. The upload page shows your name and a small footer saying who built it.
Can I use it with my team?
Not yet — Asklist is one seat, built for people working on their own.
Does it connect to Google Drive, Dropbox or Xero?
No. You download a zip and file it wherever you already file things.
Can I send the same request to twenty people at once?
Not in this version. One request, one person.
